These essential oils work well for breast inflammation or infection. The hot compress helps the oils penetrate the breast. To use, rub some of the essential oil blend on the affected breast, cover with a hot compress of chamomile tea. This is a topical approach to healing mastitis.* It works best in conjunction with oral immune support.  Contact your care provider for guidance, or look on the page for this product for some commonly used remedies. If you do not see improvement, you may need antibiotics.
the essential oil blend contains lavender, Roman chamomile, eucalyptus, and oregano in jojoba oil. Use the included chamomile flowers for the compress

Mastitis is an inflammation of breast tissue that sometimes involves an infection. The inflammation results in breast pain, swelling, warmth and redness. Sometimes this is accompanied by fever, chills, and generally feeling like you have the flu. Mastitis most commonly affects women who are breast-feeding. Many times mastitis can be healed by natural methods, other times medication is needed. Please consult your care provider. This remedy can be used in conjunction with both natural remedies (listed below) or medication as it is a topical remedy.

Brew some, or all, of the chamomile tea. It can be reheated for additional treatments. Leave the flowers in the brew, it will only get stronger. Massage some of the essential oil blend on the infected area. Then cover with a hot compress of steeped chamomile tea. Leave it there until it cools. If you get the essential oil on your nipple, clean it before nursing.

In addition to the Magical Mastitis Remedy, cabbage leaves are actually very helpful as a topical remedy. Here is an article on why. The most important thing is to keep the breast empty. It is fine to continue to nurse the baby, but at least pump regularly. Try to drink a gallon of water each day, take 3 to 6 cloves of garlic daily (one or two cloves, three times a day). Just peel off the papery part, chop into pieces small enough to swallow and take like pills. Take grapefruit seed extract three times a day. Vitamin C is also good, take 3000-5000 mg a day (divided). If symptoms worsen or persist for more than 48 hours, consider going to a doctor for an antibiotic. This is a good article on mastitis.
